The Boring Details

 Before you arrive and after your confirmation of a reservation, you will recieve check-in details about our specific location, directions, where to park, how to enter your cabin, and other details to help your stay be more comfortable. Our property is  located in a rural forested area with redwood trees and a private flowing creek. We will do our best, but there will be some dirt, sand and bugs that we can’t prevent, however the trade-offs are spectacular hawks, owls with their baby owlets, incredible native birds, the sounds of frogs and many a night sky filled with visible stars.

We accept Venmo, Paypal, Zelle and pre-paid money orders or check.  Info for payment given upon booking reservation.

 The property is fully fenced and private with a coded keypad gate to enter. Parking (link to Outdoor Areas page)  is available for one car and you have probably never felt as safe as you will here. Your cabin has a keypad lock with a code that changes with each new guest. We take safety seriously for our guests. Just know, however, our zip code crime rates are incredibly low. Get away from the adrenaline of the city and relax knowing that this is a drama free, incredibly peaceful location. 

 This space is perfect for two people and too tight for more (except Creekside Cabin) . Please look carefully at the photos to make sure the place is suitable for you. This is a small space, on a grand property. Especially note the shower and the toilet areas are small. Some of the cabins have the queen up against the wall on one side.

We are pet-friendly hosts and welcome your pet friends. We ask that your pets stay off of the beds, are not aggressive or bark excessively.

 You will need a vehicle to get to town, the Boardwalk, the beach or the abundant hiking and biking trails in the Soquel Demonstration Forest or the Forest of Nisene Marks.  We have secure spaces on the property for your bicycle and or surfboards.

We request that you come through the front gate mindfully to watch for the resident kids, our and guests' dogs, 4 resident cats and guests enjoying outdoors on our property. Please abide.

House Rules

1. No open flames on the property(bbq’s, candles, incense, etc.)
2. Quiet Hours are 10pm - 8am
3. Sensitive septic system - only tp and waste down the toilet
4. Drinking water provided, please use well water for bathing.
5. Please enjoy the entire property except our private fenced residence…follow the paved path past the American flag and you’ll find the beach! Lots of chairs and hang out spaces to relax and play!
6. Check-out is 11am.  Just leave the key in the door and we’ll do the rest! Safe travels and be well - we are grateful for your visit here and hope the best for you on your journey in life.

Carbon monoxide alarm

If a cabin has a gas source, it has a carbon monoxide alarm installed.

Smoke alarm

There are smoke alarms and fire extinguishers in all cabins.

Nearby lake, river, other body of water

There is a creek accessible by a short walk on a paved path that is not fenced.

Must climb stairs

There are some small steps to enter some cabins.

Pet(s) live on property

There are 5 cats that wander the property but do not go into the cabins. Say hi, they love the attention! We also have 3 dogs that stay behind our gated yard of our personal house and do not have access to any guest space. They are very friendly, but you may hear occasional alert barking.

Cell phone service may be spotty depending on your provider. Power outages are not very common but may happen from time to time depending on the weather in the mountains.

 Potential for noiseWe live on a well-traveled road connecting the mountains to the beach that has rush hour as well as weekend traffic.   

  Some spaces are shared. Our private beach creek area is open to all guests staying with us as well as the picnic tables and sitting areas at the top of the property. It's a great way to meet other travelers!
